Morag Smith
Morag graduated from QUT in 1994 receiving a First Class Honours degree in Optometry. She has completed postgraduate study in Behavioural Optometry through UNSW which complimented her interest in children's vision. In 2005 she completed a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics through QUT. This new qualification endorses Morag to prescribe registered restricted drugs for the treatment of eye disease. Optometrists board of QLD. She has worked closely with Ophthalmologists in the co-management of laser refractive and cataract surgery patients. Morag joined the team at Clarity Optometrists Toowong in May 2000.
Ian Kent
Ian graduated from QIT in 1972 and has been a partner in Optometry Practices in Toowoomba, Dalby, Roma and now in Toowong. During his career Ian has held numerous official positions including Optometrist Board of Queensland member from 1988 to 2003, and Chairperson of the Board from 1994 to 2003. Ian was a State Councillor of the Optometrists Association Australia (Queensland and Northern Territory Division) from 1987 to 1995 and a Councillor on The Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand for many years. In recognition of these contributions, Ian was chosen by the State OAA as 2003 Queensland Optometrist of the Year. In 2004 he was named the QUT Faculty of Health Outstanding Alumnus.
